Adnan AlShaer, MD
Dr. Alshaer attended the Jordan University of Science and Technology. He graduated in 1999 and completed a higher degree in Family Medicine there in 2004. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio in 2009. Dr. Alshaer is also certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Behrooz Banihashemi, MD
Dr. Banihashemi earned his medical degree at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Shiraz, Iran in 1999. After graduation he practiced medicine in Iran until coming to the United States in 2012. He served an Externship in Ambulatory GI subspecialty at the Consultive GI Group through Emory University, Atlanta Georgia and an Externship in Medical Floor at Floyd Medical Center, Rome Georgia. He also completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Lincoln Medical Center Bronx, New York in 2015.
Alaleh Bazmi, MD
Dr. Bazmi earned her medical degree at Pécs University Medical School, Pécs Hungary. She served Internships in Internal Medicine at Tehran University Medical Center, Iran and through UCLA at Kern Medical Center and in Surgery through UC San Diego at Kern Medical Center. She is certified in Internal Medicine and completed her Residency through UCLA at Kern Medical Center. She is a member of the American Academy of Physicians. She was a member of the Clinical Faculty of Internal Medicine at Kern Medical Center.
Kristin Brown, FNP-C
Kristin Brown earned her BSN from California State University Fresno, California in 1991. She worked as a nurse at Children’s Hospital of Orange County for seven years then continued her education earning her MSN with a Family Nurse Practitioner Degree at California State University, Dominguez Hills, California in 1999. Her specialties are health maintenance, diagnosis, disease prevention, treatment and management of common and episodic problems. She also has experience caring for chronically ill pediatric patients and high risk infants.
Romona Dolan, PA
Romona Dolan is a Physician Assistant who received her training at the Stanford University PA Program. Romona started her career in medicine as a Midwife but soon learned she wanted to treat the whole patient and fell in love with the internal medicine population. She practiced Acute Care for 15 years, working with hospitalists in both San Joaquin and Bakersfield Heart Hospital. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Igor Garcia-Pacheco, MD

Dr. Garcia-Pacheco earned his medical degree at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine and continued with his Fellowship in Critical Care at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He specializes in Internal Medicine and Critical Care and is certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine since 2005 and certified in Critical Care since 2011. He is also a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and the Peruvian College of Physicians.
Danny Huynh, MD
Dr. Danny Huynh earned his medical degree at St. Louis University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri. He served his Internship in General Surgery and completed his Residency in Urology at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics, in Columbia. As a student, he received numerous awards and scholarships in recognition of scholastic excellence. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine. He also earned numerous academic honors including the Dean’s Academic Achievement and Service Award. Dr. Huynh is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association and the American Urological Association.

He completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Englewood, New Jersey and his Geriatric Medicine Residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Colton, California. He earned his RN Certification at Delaware Community College’s RN First Assistant Program in Media, Pennsylvania and went on to earn his NP Certification at San Jose State University in San Jose, California. His experience includes; working as a RN, NICU Nurse Specialist caring for ill neonates, providing family practice, OB/GYN, and occupational health services. Michael Oefelein, MD
Dr. Oefelein graduated Cum Laude with the highest distinction in biochemical research from the University of Rochester. He completed medical school at Case Western Reserve University, area of concentration in Immunology. His Surgical Internship and Residency were completed at Northwestern University, where he was resident instructor of the year. His Urological Surgical training was completed at Northwestern. Prior to joining GMA Healthcare Providers, Dr. Oefelein served as an Associate Professor of Urology and Oncology at Case Western Reserve University and the Ireland Comprehensive Cancer Center. He is certified with the American Board of Urology and a Diplomate of the American College of Surgeons. He is also an active member of the Society of Urological Oncology and the Society of Urodynamics and Female Urology.

He served his Family Medicine Internship at Crozer-Chester Medical Center- Upland, Pennsylvania and his Residency at Crozer-Keystone Family Practice- Springfield, Pennsylvania. Pamela Smith, FNP-C
Pamela I. Smith, DNP is a certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) with 38 years of nursing experience and 27 years as a certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (CWOCN). Her educational background includes graduating from California State University, Bakersfield with a BSN Nursing degree in 1976. She completed Tucson Medical Center’s Enterostomal Therapy (ET) Nurse education program in 1988, becoming nationally certified as a CETN now a Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) that same year. Pam earned her MSN with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Phoenix in 2010. She became national board certified as a FNP-C in (DNP) from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2015. Her nursing experience includes Acute Care, Home Health, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Outpatient Clinics, and Emergency Medicine. She provides care to infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

John T. Young, MD
Dr. Young is a certified Family Physician who has been in practice in Bakersfield for over 30 years. He went to medical school at Northwestern University Chicago, Illinois and completed his Residency at Kern Medical Center. He received his Master in Counseling from California State University Bakersfield and his Master in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Edwin Youngstrom, DO
Dr. Youngstrom earned his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. He served his Urology Internship and Residency at Michigan State University/E.W. Sparrow Hospital Lansing, Missouri. While serving his residency, he was appointed Chief Resident and was a member of the Adjunct Clinical Faculty where he taught undergraduates and medical students the pathophysiology and physical evaluation of urologic disease processes. Dr. Zhou completed her Residency in General Surgery at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia and served two years as Chief Resident. She is board eligible in General Surgery and a member of the American College of Surgeons.
