Kristin Brown, FNP-C

Kristin Brown earned her BSN from California State University Fresno, California in 1991. She worked as a nurse at Children’s Hospital of Orange County for seven years then continued her education earning her MSN with a Family Nurse Practitioner Degree at California State University, Dominguez Hills, California in 1999. Her specialties are health maintenance, diagnosis, disease prevention, treatment and management of common and episodic problems. She also has experience caring for chronically ill pediatric patients and high risk infants.


Romona Dolan, PA

Romona Dolan is a Physician Assistant who received her training at the Stanford University PA Program. Romona started her career in medicine as a Midwife but soon learned she wanted to treat the whole patient and fell in love with the internal medicine population. She practiced Acute Care for 15 years, working with hospitalists in both San Joaquin and Bakersfield Heart Hospital. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.


Lorenc Malellari, MD

Colorectal Surgery

Dr. Malellari earned his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his Residency in General Surgery at New York Medical College- Westchester Medical Center and continued his training with a Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at UC Irvine Health- University of California at Irvine. He is also trained in advanced laparoscopic and robotic Surgery procedures He is board certified in both General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.

Geeteshwar Mangat, MD

Dr. Mangat earned his medical degree at Dayanard Medical College & Hospital in Punjab, India. He completed his Internship and Internal Medicine Residency at State University New York Downstate University Hospital of Brooklyn New York. He is certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine.


Deborah McDowell, FNP-C

Debbie McDowell earned her BSN in 1995 and her MSN with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree at California State University Bakersfield in 2001. She has practiced in Women’s Health, Rural Healthcare, Internal Medicine settings and specialized in Labor and Delivery. She is certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a member of Sigma Theta Tau.


Parvez Memon, MD

Dr. Memon earned his medical degree at the University of Sind, Liaquat Medical College in Jamshoro, Pakistan. He served his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at St. Francis Medical Center- Trenton, New Jersey and completed his Geriatric Fellowship at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center- Colton, California. Dr. Memon specializes in Internal and Geriatric Medicine and is certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine-Geriatric Medicine.


Xenia Roldan, MD

Dr. Roldan earned her medical degree and served an Internship at the University of the East, Quezon City, Philippines. She completed her Residency at Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University- North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Winston Salem, NC and she completed her Pediatric Neurology Fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, California. Dr. Roldan specializes in Pediatrics and is certified with the American Board of Pediatrics.

Pamela Smith, FNP-C

Wound Care

Pamela I. Smith, DNP is a certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) with 38 years of nursing experience and 27 years as a certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (CWOCN). Her educational background includes graduating from California State University, Bakersfield with a BSN Nursing degree in 1976. She completed Tucson Medical Center’s Enterostomal Therapy (ET) Nurse education program in 1988, becoming nationally certified as a CETN now a Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) that same year. Pam earned her MSN with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Phoenix in 2010. She became national board certified as a FNP-C in (DNP) from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2015. Her nursing experience includes Acute Care, Home Health, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Outpatient Clinics, and Emergency Medicine. She provides care to infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.


John T. Young, MD

Dr. Young is a certified Family Physician who has been in practice in Bakersfield for over 30 years. He went to medical school at Northwestern University Chicago, Illinois and completed his Residency at Kern Medical Center. He received his Master in Counseling from California State University Bakersfield and his Master in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. He is a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dr. Young is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Family Practice.


Edwin Youngstrom, DO


Dr. Youngstrom earned his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. He served his Urology Internship and Residency at Michigan State University/E.W. Sparrow Hospital Lansing, Missouri. While serving his residency, he was appointed Chief Resident and was a member of the Adjunct Clinical Faculty where he taught undergraduates and medical students the pathophysiology and physical evaluation of urologic disease processes. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at the University of Pennsylvania. As an undergraduate, he was a member of Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society and received the Pathology Award for Outstanding performance in pathology classwork. Dr. Youngstrom is board eligible in urology with the American Board of Osteopathic Surgeons. He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Association. He is also a candidate member of the American Urological Association.


Jing Zhou, MD

General Surgery

Dr. Zhou earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, in Nanjing, China. She attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and Louisiana State University, where she earned her Master of Science degree in Mathematics. Her medical degree was earned at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center- School of Medicine. Dr. Zhou completed her Residency in General Surgery at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia and served two years as Chief Resident. She is board eligible in General Surgery and a member of the American College of Surgeons.
